Plus UG20 oils give improved vacuum performance,thermal and oxidation stability and rust inhibition. The anti-oxidants included in the oils enable the pump to withstand high operating temperatures without oil degradation, so extending intervals between oil changes. Equivalent to Edwards Ultrgrade 20. Plus 20 oil is double distilled and offers a combination of lower vapor pressure and greater resistance to oxidation. Double distillation lowers vapor pressure by removing light end oil fractions that can cause back streaming. This quality makes Plus 20 oil ideal for direct drive pumps used in backing diffusion or turbomolecular pumps.
